WUX Team Ludo App Design - Personas

Date: 1st August 2022 Personas I have constructed 3 personas based on research I have undertaken. This research has found that the majority of the board game community are Caucasian men between the ages of 18-45. My personas reflect this demographic while also introducing more variety. I used UXPressia's definition of personality types to define user outlook and behaviour to add more nuance to my personas while retaining usability - https://uxpressia.com/blog/personality-type-uxpressia Primary Persona Name : Ethan Hawkings Role : Board Game Enthusiast Personality: Rational Demographic : 18, Student, Male Background :  Ethan and his friends are students who meet often to play board games in a social, and sometimes competitive setting. As group members bring their own board games for each other to play and learn about, costs among the group are kept somewhat low. Recently, the group has grown tired of the same games being played day after day. To remedy this, Ethan has offered ...

WUX Team Ludo App Design - Competitor Research

Image
Date: 31st July 2022 Competitor Research Our product is a C2C marketplace application for board games. C2C refers to 'consumer-to-consumer', meaning members of the public can act as vendors, selling new or second-hand products to other members of the public, who act as buyers. Other companies operating this way, offering a platform for users to buy and sell on, include: TradeMe Started in New Zealand in 1999 by Sam Morgan, TradeMe allows users to list objects for sale, set a price as well as add details about the listed item. Besides allowing users to sell to each other, third-party vendors have also started listing items on the platform, moving it more in the direction of a general ecommerce platform.  Users can either set a fixed, 'Buy Now' price, or set the sale up as an online auction, with a minimum reserve price to be met before a sale is approved. The platform requires users to enter their details, such as their name, email, a form of payment, and their address. ...

WUX Team Ludo App Design - Stakeholders

Date: 28th July 2022 Stakeholders For our project Team Ludo have chosen to focus on the board games market; and to this end, create a platform app allowing users to buy and sell board games. Taken as a real-life project means considering two groups of stakeholders - internal and external. Internal Stakeholders These include the developers of the app and administrative staff, as well as any other staff involved in the planning, creation, maintenance or marketing of the application. The people responsible for the direction of these staff (managerial staff) can also be considered internal stakeholders. Depending on the scope of this application, and whether or not third parties have chosen to fund our app, they would also form part of this group of internal stakeholders. For simplicity, we can group all of these parties under the Team Ludo group, and have the company and its constituents form an internal stakeholder. In short, an internal stakeholder is anyone with a direct link to or sta...
