Team Ludo WUX App Design - Mockups

Image
Date: 28th August 2022 Mockups I have created mockups, based on my wireframes created last week. My and my teams meeting on Monday 28th, we decided: Anjileen and I would create a set of mockups each, based on our own wireframes. To create these mockups in Adobe XD, rather than Figma. I will admit, having to familiarise myself with Adobe XD took me out of the mockup creation process, so this is perhaps not my best work. However, I think it is good enough to start performing tests between my and Anjileen's set, such as determining high-level - or general - likes and dislikes amongst those we interview / test with. As with the wireframes, these mockups depict the main pages in the user flow: Home Page Browse Page for listings (with search filters - by price, genre, no parts missing etc) Login Page (email/password) Register Page Single Product Page (product image/details, including contact seller button, and ability for buyer to leave comment/question on this page) Create Product Lis...

Team Ludo WUX App Design - Monday Meeting 22th August 2022

Date: 22nd August 2022 Monday Meeting - 22th August 2022 At this meeting we covered the following points: Naming our application Anjileen, Beste and I each contributed options for a name, which I used to populate a survey asking the user which of the options they liked and felt suited the application best. I distributed this survey among the Web and User Experience Design Diploma student body, and asked my teammates to distribute it further, to friends and family. Our options are as follows: Boardmania BoardmaniaNZ BoardSquare BoardBid BoardHoard Decided how mockups and prototypes will be handled Anjileen and I have so far created one set of wireframes each, for each page our application will have. Because of our differing approach, we decided that we will each use our wireframes to build a set of mockups, based off our own wireframes. These will then be used to conduct A/B testing to judge which layout performs best. These will be constructed in Adobe XD, with no coding pe...

WUX Team Ludo App Design - Boardgames and a Survey

Date: 16th August 2022 Boardgames and a Survey On the 26th of July, I sent out a Google Forms survey to my Web and UX Design Diploma classmates, and asked them to both fill it out, and pass it on to others (their friends and family) who enjoy boardgames. The survey consisted of a single question, what kind of board games do you like? This was done in order to find a list of boardgames we could use to populate our app; I will gather assets such as images, instruction manuals and descriptions at a later time. After three weeks, I received 14 responses, and I will list them here, with repeats of board games removed: Cluedo Monopoly Settlers of Catan Scrabble Love Letter Sushi Go 5 Minute Dungeon Jeopardy Blokus Ludo Risk Trivial Pursuit Battleship Pictionary Guess Who? Exploding Kittens Pandemic The next step in this research process is to find the following items for each: Hero Image Blurb / Tagline Short Description Instruction Manual Playing info: Number of Players Time to Comple...
